Meet Your Master Trainer: Bill Behrens
Dr. Bill Behrens has been a Master Trainer and Executive Trainer for True Colors since 1985. He has trained and worked with diverse educational groups including the Tennessee State Department of Education, Erie 1 BOCES, and Humboldt County Office of Education, Santa Monica Malibu Unified School District as well as many individual school sites. He has also worked with many businesses including Disney, Farmers Insurance, General Electric, Google and Kraft Foods. On August 6, 2012, Bill was honored to receive a Life-Time Achievement Award from the International True Colors Association (ITCA) “In appreciation and recognition of his 27 years of dedicated work, training True Colors Facilitators throughout the world.”
Bill is an award winning educator who retired in 2012 completing his 33 year career in public education as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Development in the Temecula Valley Unified School District. Bill’s master’s degree is in Organizational Development and his doctorate is in Educational Leadership. During his years of service, he was a classroom teacher at the elementary, middle, and high school levels in the areas of math, music and physical education. Additionally, Bill has been a principal at all three levels. He also provided district level leadership as the Director of Elementary Education, Director of Secondary Education and Coordinator of Human Resources Development. He continues the work he commenced in 1999 as a university professor at Brandman University and La Sierra University. Coursework topics include: Leadership, Professional Development, Organizational Development, Change, Communication, Teambuilding and Research Design. Bill enjoys the development of people and organizations to enhance performance. He is particularly drawn to the topics of communication and leadership.

Hotel: There are a couple options for hotels. Comfort Suites San Diego Miramar & Holiday Inn Express Mira Mesa – San Diego are located next to each other. It is less than one mile to the college.
Food: We do have a cafeteria on-campus which has Pizza, Pasta, Burgers, Sandwiches, Smoothies, and Rice Bowls. There’s also a Starbucks coffee cart that is located within steps from the conference room. Nearby, approximately 5-7 minute walk, there are several food places: Pick Up Stix (Chinese Food), Gen Korean BBQ House, Buca di Beppo (Italian), Islands (Burgers), O’s American Kitchen (Pizza & Pasta), Panera Bread, On the Border (Mexican), Rubio’s (Fish Tacos), Daphne’s Greek (Mediterranean), Jersey Mike’s (Subs), Jamba Juice, Cold Stone, Mimi’s Cafe, and Starbucks.
Airport: The San Diego Airport is located approx 18 miles away from college.
